Holding a corner square with one hand while driving a screw with the other never ends the way you wanted. These blocks clamp both boards at once, carry a scale on every face, and the anodized body will not bruise a show side.
Each block takes a board on both legs and holds the inside corner at a right angle while you glue, screw, or drill. Four of them set up a drawer box or a picture frame before the glue starts to grab.
The long extension bolts reach over stock about as thick as a stair tread, and the positioning blocks slide to clear a rabbet or a dado. Knobs tighten by hand, so no wrench joins the pile on the bench.
A laser engraved scale runs along the faces in both metric and inches, so a repeat offset can be set off the block itself instead of chasing a tape measure back and forth across the bench.
Four clamps, the positioning blocks, the long bolts, the knobs, and the washers come in a fitted box that stacks on a shelf. Every piece goes back into the hole it came out of when the glue is dry.
Different shelves, same Saturday. These hang elsewhere on our wall but clock in on the same jobs as this one.
