A wiring job pulls four tools out of the drawer and you still walk back for the snips. This handle takes five heads that twist on and off, keeps them in a flat case, and the tester in the grip answers whether a lead is live.
The diagonal cutter, the stripper jaw, long nose pliers, a hardened wire cutter, and sheet metal snips all seat in the same handle. Chrome vanadium heads hold an edge through trailer looms and lamp cord.
Shaped holes along the jaw match the common household and automotive wire, so insulation parts cleanly and the copper under it keeps every strand. The notches sit where your thumb expects after a lead or two.
The tester beeps and flashes near live wire from a doorbell transformer up to a wall circuit, with no need to touch bare metal. It settles the question before the cutter goes anywhere near the insulation.
Rubber over the grips cushions a long squeeze and a spring pushes the jaws open again on their own. All five heads and the handle drop into a compartment case that closes flat in the bottom of a tool bag.
Different shelves, same Saturday. These hang elsewhere on our wall but clock in on the same jobs as this one.
