From our bench

A bristle brush leaves ridges across flat cabinet panels, and rollers miss the recess around carved trim. We put this corded sprayer together to lay wet paint, stain, or clear sealer in an even fan. The viscosity cup tells you if the mix runs too thick, but the water or mineral spirits come from your own shelf.

Matching the spray pattern

A twist of the collar shifts the spray from a tall fan for fence boards to a wide spread for walls or a round spot for spindle work. The dial behind the trigger limits material flow.

Thick finishes and thinners

Water based latex, oil stains, and thin sealers feed through the pickup tube. Use the included viscosity funnel to time the drain, then thin thick can paint until the cup empties at an even pace.

Reaching into carved trim

Corners and grooved cabinet doors soak up paint quickly without pooling. You sweep the tip across the grain at a steady distance, coating dry recesses that usually require repeated dabbing with a small sash brush.

Tear down after spraying

The paint container unscrews and the front housing twists off the motor body. Flush warm water or solvent through the passage right away, using the wire pin and cleaning brush to clear wet film from the brass tip.
