From our bench

When a small carburetor comes apart across the plywood, the small springs tend to walk. We made this big bench mat to cover the workspace so screws, clips, and sockets stay where you set them. It rolls up when the work is done and tucks beside the vise.

Across the benchtop

This is the big bench mat in our run of three sizes. It gives you room to lay down a full set of parts in order as they come off the casting.

Embedded magnet core

The magnets sit under a layer of faux leather across the whole pad. Small fasteners and loose bits grab hold instead of rolling off the edge of the wood.

Faux leather cover

The outer skin wipes down when grease or oil gets smeared across the work area. It grips the tabletop underneath so the whole setup stays put while you turn wrenches.
