This is the narrow strip from our run of three magnetic mats. We built it long and slim so it can sit right along a fender edge or the top step of a ladder, holding small fasteners in the order they came off. When the work is done, it rolls up tight.
The slim shape fits where wide pads overhang and drop things. It rests along engine bay rails, window sills, and step rungs without sliding off while you pull parts.
Magnets embedded beneath the faux leather hold sockets, driver bits, and loose bolts where you set them. Small steel hardware stays put until you reach back over for it.
The dark faux leather face takes oily residue from old threads and wipes down with an ordinary rag. It flexes across curved sheet metal without cracking or splitting the outer skin.
Rolled tight, the strip takes no more room in your box than a folded newspaper. Toss it into a side pocket or keep it lying flat in a shallow drawer between jobs.
Different shelves, same Saturday. These hang elsewhere on our wall but clock in on the same jobs as this one.
